  • Nothing to See Here, Kevin Wilson
Kevin Wilson has been saving me from the reading rut I’ve been in for the past few months (year?). I read The Family Fang and was surprised at its savagery given its cheery cover and endorsement from NPR. I had previously read Perfect Little Worldand I re-read it again recently.
  • The Brothers Karamazov, Fyodor Dostoevsky, trans. Richard Pevear & Larissa Volokhonsky
I powered through the first hundred pages because of its wit and energy, but now I’m a little stuck. I think I even forgot to pack it for my Christmas vacation (farts).
  • How the Other Half Banks, by Mehrsa Baradaran
Well-researched, compelling, and relevant for work. Mehrsa makes me have faith in smart people who believe in justice.

And that’s IT. I still want to come back to Perdido Street Station, but it’ll have to wait for the new year. I’m also intrigued by The Trees and have added it to my scribd account.

This was a slow reading year for me.
